Background
The TEEPEE is a timeless and popular tent design, admired by many, including myself, for its simplicity and unique charm. However, traditional camping teepees often feature a central support column, which restricts interior space and usability. This inherent drawback, combined with its minimalist structure, has long led people to assume there was little room for improvement.
By challenging this conventional thinking, we reimagined the TEEPEE using simple yet ingenious principles—rooted in basic concepts from junior high school. This innovation allowed us to eliminate the central column, significantly improving interior functionality while reducing both the tent’s weight and material usage, all without compromising its iconic simplicity.
Additionally, we incorporated a one-way see-through feature to enhance safety, ventilation, and overall camping comfort, taking the TEEPEE design to a whole new level.
One Side-Pole Structure
Our design replaced the support pole in the middle by a pole on one side of the tent, A rope is extended from the pole’s top to the ground to provide stability.
